China's manufacturing industry accounted for 15.6% of the global manufacturing industry in 2009, replacing Japan as the second largest industrial manufacturer after the United States, Wang Zhongyu, president of the China Enterprise Federation, said at the 2010 National Conference on Business Management Innovation held in Beijing on 27 July.


According to the statistics report of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, China's share of world industrial output reached 15.6% in 2009 and Japan's 15.4%. The United States still ranks first in China's industrial tennis industry with a 19% share. Data show that in 2009, China's crude steel output was 568 million tons, accounting for 47% of the world; cement production and sales of 1 machinery manufacturing industry was 650 million tons, accounting for more than 60% of the world; port throughput was 7 billion tons, accounting for more than 50% of the world.


Wang Zhongyu said that despite this, China's bearing manufacturing industry is large but not strong. Most enterprises are still at the bottom of the industrial chain with low added value and relatively backward productive services.
